Want to know if your product is still relevant to your target market buyers? Is an important question you should be asking yourself.

This will give you the perspective you need to make changes to the processes, your perhaps to review it, to ensure that the product is still relevant to your customers.

Think about this, if you are selling a product that was relevant when you created it in 2010, that same product may not be relevant in 2023. So how can you discover what changes you need to make to your product or service?

When starting a business or pivoting and improving an existing business, one of the things you should think about is a or (still) a fit for your buyer’s journey?

The product you’re building solves a problem that people have and are willing to pay for it. Or put another way, It’s the intersection of a great product people want and is ready to buy.

Yeh, I know, it’s obvious…

You would be amazed at the number of times this doesn’t happen, though!

Is there still a need for the product you’re selling, and are the customers willing and prepared to pay for it, and how much will they pay.

Try to get feedback from potential customers and ask questions like:

– What problem are you trying to solve?

– Can my product help?

– What would work?

– How would you use it?

By validating your product idea with potential customers, you can ensure that you build something viable and has a market.

Without Product Market Fit, you do not have a business.

For existing businesses, it also pays to check.

Want To Know If Your Product Is Still Relevant In The Market Fit?

But here are three tips to help you figure it out:

#1 – Analyze Your Competition

The first step to understanding if your product is still relevant is to analyze the competition.

Look at what they are doing and ask yourself questions like; what are they offering, what do they charge, and how well is their business doing?

#2 – Ask Your Customers

Once again, Your customers are the best source of insight when it comes to understanding whether your product still relevant to your customer.

It’s always good to check-in to see if the service that you are providing is working for them and whether you can improve the process, but again, how?

So let’s talk about more than just “you should be talking to your customers” and discuss “how and what”.

Send out surveys, call them or even meet them in person and ask them what they think about your product and what could be improved, and more importantly whether the product is still relevant to them.

#3 – Review Your Goals

Lastly, review your goals to ensure your product is still relevant to them.

If you had an ambitious goal when you started, has it changed? What are your plans for the future?

Whilst doing a review of your product is a great thing to do, it is just as important to keep it regular. This is one of the only ways to to make sure that your product is still relevant to your target client.
